Volunteers
The Teddington and Hampton Wick Voluntary Care Group are always keen to welcome new people who are prepared to offer as little as one hour of their time every week to support us. There are a number of ways you can help.
We run community shopping bus trips to the local supermarket several times a week for those who can no longer get to the shops or carry their shopping home. The buses (driven by volunteers) are provided by Richmond and Kingston Accessible Transport (RaKAT).
We recognise the need for social activity and organise a number of outings every year visiting Bushy Park, Richmond Park, Pembroke Lodge, Squires, the Wetlands, the Poppy Factory, Kew Gardens etc. There are theatre trips, Christmas parties, teas and coffee mornings.
In all this we rely totally on the work of our volunteers. Volunteering is a means of becoming involved in the community in a personal way which can be a fulfilling experience. Anyone can volunteer, and in a variety of ways. We are always happy to welcome new volunteers as drivers, visitors, shoppers or in whatever capacity they would like to contribute.
If you are interested to learn more about becoming a volunteer please contact us either by visiting the Contact Us page or using the details at the bottom of this website for more information.
